| The European Union:
in our own interest A professional manager or adviser is
expected to be well informed of the latest developments within his
line of work. Still there are matters that escape his attention,
how involved or active he or she might be. Everybody has representatives
in Brussels, for example; politicians, lobbyists, advisors, media,
pressure groups and so on.
But how often do we talk to these spokesmen to explain the specific
needs of our company or organisation? Hardly ever. This is a missed
opportunity because this way the representative is not aware of
your interests and many decisions are made behind your back in Brussels.
